About Us
Recycling is the process of making a used material into a new material with the aim of preventing the occurrence of waste that can actually be useful, reducing the use of new raw materials, reducing energy use, reducing pollution, land damage and greenhouse gas emissions compared to the process of making new items. Recycling is one of the solid waste management strategies which consists of sorting, collecting, processing, distributing and making used products / materials, and the main components in modern waste management and the third part in the 4R garbage hierarchy process (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Replace).
Recyclable material consists of glass, plastic, paper, metals, textiles, and electronic goods. Although similar, the composting process which generally uses biomass waste which can be degraded by nature is not categorized as a recycling process. Recycling is focused more on waste that cannot be degraded by nature naturally in order to reduce land damage. Broadly speaking, recycling is the process of garbage collection, sorting, cleaning, and processing of new materials for the production process.
